Parent Handbook - ABOUT COMMUNITY BASED CHILD CARE
Community Based Centres are initially established through Government funding, to serve local communities needing quality child care. They operate on a non-profit basis, which means that the focus is on the provision of quality care for the children who come to the Centre. St Morris is a Community Based Centre - we will not compromise the quality of care in order to make a profit. We manage the Centre in a way that allows us to provide the highest standard of care, to maintain those standards, and to provide a great environment for the children.
Financial and general running of the Centre is undertaken by a Management Committee made up of Parents of children who use the Centre and Staff members. Parents using Community Based Child Care are actively encouraged to get involved in the decision-making processes that influence the management of the Centre. Parents who use these Centres have access to financial information - the Centre is accountable to the families who use it.
We are confident that St Morris is the place for children to get a great start.
